Board members Mathew Stansell and Paul Askedall took a trip out to San Diego for Saved In America's human trafficking #ChildSavedNotSold fundraising dinner on November 4th. It was a great networking opportunity, and they discussed a range of topics in the industry from investigations to legislation with different talent and professions.
"It was a beautiful night, mingling with other anti-human trafficking professionals and acquiring more knowledge and resources to aid us in this fight," stated Paul, Vice President of UZ. The gala included a silent and live auction, good food, and the Master of Ceremonies was Mark Larson of local San Diego KUSI News and AM760 Radio.
A keynote speaker of the event was Mark A. Morgan, who was appointed by the President of the United States in 2019 to serve as acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), acting Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Border Patrol, and served 20 years as a Special Agent with the FBI. Mark's career also includes serving as an officer of the Los Angeles Police Department and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, both Active and Reserve.
